INDEPENDENT TRUSTEES, INC. is a Virginia corporation that was originally formed in July 1989 to serve as a trustee for Virginia foreclosures, and also to act as a Qualified Intermediary for tax-deferred exchanges. It has been performing these services since that time, and occasionally has served as escrow agent for other transactions.

Independent Trustees is managed by Buzzy Hofheimer for matters relating to tax deferred exchanges.

It is qualified to do business in North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Maryland and Virginia.
